We are a couple living in the West part of Sweden, only 50 kilometers from Halmstad. My name is Ulla and my husband is Kjell, together we have wonderful Shih Tzu’s in our family. We have recently opened a kennel for Shih Tzu named Ceasar’s Palace. The name comes from the Latin word for “emperor” or “ruler” and the breed derive from Tibet where they lived as temple dogs with the sole purpose of being beautiful, hence the name Palace.
We chose the breed as our first bitch charmed us as well as everyone in our surroundings from the start, hence we fell for this lovely breed of dog. We then had the opportunity to buy a male puppy called “Helge” and the breeder suggested we enter him into exhibitions as he had certain qualities. We were both sceptical and unsure at first but after the first exhibition, where Helge became “Birvalp” we felt proud and wanted to try our luck with further exhibitions. The success continued through out the year and we got more and more interested. We then decided to increase our family with another bitch “Madde” and with great help from the breeder we have continued to exhibit our dogs with varied results.
Our interest grew during the year and we now have several dogs with the ability to become something special and to use for breeding in the future. Our dogs lead a normal dog life with freedom to run around in the garden, spend time with the family and play and have a good time. This mean they become very loyal and fantastic company as well as calm and mellow as we also enter them in exhibitions
